Collectibles / Knives, Swords & Blades / Collectible Fixed Blade Knives / Modern Fixed Blade / Factory Manufactured
Collectible "Golden Bear" Kershaw knife in original case. This is part of a limited edition "re-release" using German techniques that were lost before World War II. The original design features eagles on the hilt and was used as a ceremonial weapon for the German military. This piece features bears on the hilt commemorating a magnificent bear harvested in Germany by the original designer. The hilt is made of a single piece of cast brass with black Micarta scales and the blade is crafted of fine Solingen mirror- polished steel. It uses the dyes and techniques from the original tooling that were re-discovered in the late 80's and were used by Kershaw in collaboration with the Othello knife makers from Germany to create this limited edition series. Blade is engraved "Golden Bear" on surface and marked "Kershaw, Solingen-Germany, Rostfrei." Back is numbered 2751. Glass of case has "Kershaw" engraved in lower left corner. Late 20th century.
